Pakistani performer Sarah Khan has talked about her experience trying to gain a following in India and how she enjoys watching Bollywood actors and their films.
Actress Sarah Khan, from Pakistan, claims that her dream role has always been to work with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Sarah Khan gained a large fan base in India thanks to her roles in the television series Hum Tum, Khirkiyan, and Sabaat.

Sarah’s greatest ambition since beginning her acting career has been to appear on screen alongside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. Sarah says she loves Bollywood and recognises the appeal of Indian film and the large audience it attracts. Given that a sizable section of her fan base lives in India, Sarah believes that a career in Bollywood makes sense.

It would be amazing if I could work in Bollywood because it is a huge deal for any actor to work in a different genre. I would adore doing that. My impression is that half of my viewership is in Pakistan and the other half is in India. Who doesn’t love Bollywood films?I think Deepika Padukone is great. And when I started my career, I imagined working alongside Salman Khan,” Sarah stated in an interview with PTI.


The actor is optimistic that the audience will connect with her new show, which was shot right before the Covid-19 outbreak broke out, despite its rather delayed premiere

 Embracing Abdullahpur Ka Devdas

Sarah’s current project, Abdullahpur Ka Devdas offers a glimpse into her versatility as an actress. Set against the backdrop of a classic love triangle, the show combines elements of tradition and modernity, resonating with audiences on both sides of the border. Sarah’s portrayal of Gul Bano showcases her talent and dedication to storytelling that transcends cultural boundaries.

One of the reasons behind the popularity of Pakistani serials in India, according to Sarah, is their authentic portrayal of everyday life. Pakistani dramas resonate with viewers because they are based on relatable situations and create a sense of familiarity and connection.


During a song recording session, Sarah happened to run with industry insiders by coincidence, which led to her accidental foray into acting. Sarah accepted the chance in spite of her first misgivings, opening the door to a prosperous acting career. When Sarah thinks back on her journey from wannabe singer to well-known actor, she recognises the storytelling’s transforming power and the delight it offers to both audiences and performers.
