The Mahindra XUV400 is powered by the existing battery choice; no modifications have been made to the battery pack. It comes with two different battery packs: a larger 39.4 kWh pack with a stated range of 456 km and a 34.5 kWh pack with a claimed range of 375 km. With the electric motor, both battery packs generate 150 horsepower and 310 Nm of power.

The XUV400 Electric battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in 50 minutes using a 50kW DC fast charger. In addition, there is a 3.3kWh home charge that takes 13 hours to fully charge the battery and a 7.2 KW AC charger that takes 6.5 hours to charge the battery.
